One Lucky Day

Hey guys!

From now on every Friday we’re going to make a post called “One Lucky Day” with some unusual stories our users are constantly sending us. The idea of posting your letters came to us thanks to one user from Russia who sent us a letter just yesterday. It’s hard to believe but TalkO’Clock literally saved his life! Well, maybe not his life, but his health – for sure. It inspired us to share all stories with you, telling in what ways talking to a stranger can change your life!

We’ll be editing all the texts, taking away all spelling and grammar mistakes, so that it’ll be easier for you ppl to read! Well, here it is, our first entry on the topic.

“Dear TalkO’Clock!

I love you, I really do! I’m super-lucky today – and that’s all thanks to you!

I woke up in the morning from a phone call from the US. A nice lady asked why I set an alarm on 9:55. I said for no reason. She said everything has its reasons, so I should be attentive to the number 5 or 55 today, like it’s my today’s lucky number or something. We’ve talked about other stuff, it was fun.

Anyways,  at breakfast I said I needed someone to drive me to the shopping mall. Both Dad and my bro offered their help. Usually I’d pick my brother, but this time I didn’t. Dad was wearing a T-shirt with a big number 5 on it. And I clearly remember my thoughts at the moment when I decided to go with my Dad. I accidently paid attention to his t-shirt and thought “5… Lucky number? Jee, why not. May be it is a lucky number and something good wil happen, why not go with Dad today?”.

In the end, in 30 minutes we got a call that bro got in a car accident! He was ok, just one little scar on his head, but if I was sitting next to him, things might have happened…  Could you believe that?! It’s a super-weird coincidence! Sometimes we do have to listen to what strangers tell us! Maybe it was my destiny to talk to that girl!)

And that’s not all! After lunch I went to the post office, and the cashier didn’t have change, so she suggested that I bought a lottery ticket (for about $2), I agreed and chose (this time on purpose) one with 3 number “5” on it. Guess what, yeah, I’ve rubbed out the silver layer and saw that I won $20! I know, it’s not much but for me it meant a lot, because that was just another evidence of that number’s magic!

I’ve set an alarm for tomorrow and really wonder what tomorrow’s stranger will tell me!

Thank you, keep up a good job!”

What can we say? It’s a nice letter! It brought us a lot of satisfaction and it makes our lives a little more meaningful in our own eyes. So send us your stories at info@talkoclock.com. We’ll happily publish them, too!
